SIL’s Maximilian Palmié was recently featured on the Fraunhofer IESE podcast “kurz & würzig”, where he joined Anne-Marie Kilpert and her colleague Nina Müller for a conversation about technological hypes, innovation, and digital transformation.

The episode explores how hypes emerge, why they are neither inherently good nor bad, and how they can provide orientation for organizations navigating technological change. The discussion also addresses how organizations and municipalities can distinguish between meaningful innovation and empty promises, what questions they should ask before following the next major trend, and what it takes to turn initial excitement into lasting value.

We thank Fraunhofer IESE for the invitation and the engaging exchange on expectations, realities, and the often underestimated path from hype to sustainable impact.
