On June 3-4, SIL joined consortium partners in Prague to review progress and plan the final phase of the EU Horizon ASCEND project, an initiative focused on accelerating Positive Clean Energy Districts across Europe.

The EU Horizon ASCEND Project held its General Assembly in Prague on June 3-4, 2026, hosted by local consortium partners. The meeting convened all partners to evaluate the progress made over the past year and strategize for the final phase of the initiative, which aims to accelerate the development of Positive Clean Energy Districts across eight European cities.
Monica Barroso, PhD, represented SIL at the event. As an academic partner in the consortium, SIL contributes to the task force focused on advancing realistic and innovative business models for the energy solutions currently in development.
