ASCEND project: Business model workshops in Prague and Budapest

As part of the European Commission's ASCEND project, Selina Lorenz and Monica Barroso facilitated two business model workshops with interdisciplinary teams across three cities, successfully fostering a rapid, shared understanding to strengthen their cross-functional collaboration.

Last week, our colleagues Selina Lorenz and Monica Barroso facilitated two business model workshops in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from Prague, Budapest, and Alba Iulia.
Each workshop convened experts from diverse professional backgrounds to analyze and refine complex, multi-stakeholder projects. The workshops began with a structured mapping of processes and key actors, followed by an in-depth exploration of the business model dimensions that underpin their collaborative initiatives.
What stood out was the speed at which a shared understanding emerged among participants despite their varied roles and contexts and the openness with which they engaged with new tools and collaborative approaches.
By posing critical questions and offering a structured framework, our workshops aimed to support the teams in strengthening their cross-functional collaboration and business models. The workshops are part of a series of workshops that we are realizing in the ASCEND project, funded by the European Commission.
